In driving more than 70k miles in two XK's, I have never found it necessary to turn the radio on but I suspect this may not be a satisfactory answer to your question.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Hello, Don,
I'm always a bit amused when people Must have their tunes. I don't like a radio etc. in my car, radio in Jag has Never even been connected to speakers by the Precious Owner!
I never turn on the radio in my other cars as it only hides the sound of something going wrong.
