Hi, just bought my first car, a 2013 XF Sport 2.2 diesel 200hp in Stratus Grey. It has a few extras (at least, I don't think the base Sport had them) like camera and front sensors, heated windscreen and seats
I've had company cars like Golfs since passing my test, but got a new job that is mostly from home so no car any more. My wife wanted something "sensible", but automatic because she had some past incidents with clutches...
as we don't need a runabout kind of car, and most times we do drive it's at least and hour on the motorway, my requirements were good motorway cruiser, good amount of space, and crucially, something I would enjoy.
After researching, calculating, comparing, a Jaguar turned out to be a decently "sensible" option, so here we are!
The car is lovely, all black inside, paintwork in really decent condition, and I'm looking forward to sorting out the marks here and there, this weekend it's getting a good wash and some scratches worked on. I've already bough a couple of bits or trim to swap out for undamaged parts. I've also started a list of things I would like to retrofit, power fold mirrors, adaptive cruise, blindspot indicators.
The first real upgrade I plan is the audio, its just the stock Jaguar sound for that year, but it seems I can upgrade to a Meridian setup and add the sub woofer using all the existing looms and mounts. Oh, and the Sport badging is looking a bit tired all round so I'll replace those.
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
