New member here, from south eastern Alberta, Canada.
Auto mechanic by trade, completed last two years of my apprenticeship at a Jaguar / Saab dealer, in 1986 / 87. I'm actually an "off the wall" Chevy 348 / 409 enthusiast, but when I was at that dealer, I fell in love with the series III V12 cars !
I now design and manufacture a few very specialized high performance parts for 58-64 Chevy Cars, and build some of those engines, design / build headers, and a bit of mechanical oriented restoration work.
I have a small collection of cars, with a couple Jaguars of my preference.
The 1975 - 1977 XJ6C / XJ12C being my favourite.
I'll try to add some photos soon.

In the mean time, I'm having trouble with a 78 XJ12L that I just bough.... I'll port about that in the appropriate category.

Welcome to the forum Aubrey,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Not surprised we don't see many XJ12,'s over here now - looks like they've mostly gone to Alberta.

Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link Canada - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Hello, Aubry,
I grew up not so far south of your location, in central Montana.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thank YOU for the welcomes, everybody !
My signature ?
Yes, my old Jags are in it... but I should clarify a little thing...
my XJ12C, is really an XJ6C ! Had it since 2008, actually having bought an 87 V12 donor car, a month before I even brought the coupe home. Was the plan to do the conversion right away... but hey, the 6 runs nice, and with the 2.88 / power lok rear gear that I swapped in, it's very good on fuel.
Unfortunately, second gear in the transmission, has disappeared. Time to get on the conversion.
Well, I complicated that, by acquiring a nice running early 94 6 liter XJ12. Body is incredible, but it sure isn't a series II or III ! Also, the car has SO MANY stupid issues, that it drives me nuts!
A/C doesn't function. Heater blows no heat. Rear brakes have never worked. Rear suspension worn, with a VERY bad clunk. The transmission shifter is SO messed up, that I have no access to park, low... and reverse is practically impossible. However, the most annoying "dysfunction", are the freaking door handles.... of 8 possible ( in and out ) door handles... only three(3) function !... incredible
So, despite the great body condition... this 6 liter V12 / OD automatic ( will be 5 speed manual conversion later ) is destined for my coupe.
