Default Just Joined - When Do I Get My 'Members Only' Jacket?

Greetings from Tulsa, Oklahoma. "New" member......just joined.

Well, I finally had to make the transition to a four-door due to kids. Over the years, I have mostly driven German cars.......several Porsche's, a few Mercedes-Benz's, and a couple of BMW 'M' cars. Originally, I was looking at M5's (E60). However, my father-in-law bought a new XJ-R several years ago and put about 120K miles on it before he decided to "punt". I took the car and sold it for him, but after driving it for a month or so, I kind of started to like it.

So, I switched gears and started looking at used XJ-R's. However, once I realized there was a Super V8, I was "sold". I shopped a couple different cars out of state, but the really nice ones with low mileage seemed to sell before I could get my act together. Suddenly, all the good cars dried up and I started to get frustrated. So, on a lark, I went on Craig's List, and I don't like Craig's List! Lo and behold right out of the gate, I found EXACTLY what I wanted just 8 miles from my house. Talk about rather being lucky than smart!!!

Anyway, I ended up buying a 2007 Jaguar XJ8 Super V8. Two-owner local car, 31K miles, all factory dealer service, Black with Ivory interior. I really wanted a black on black car, but hey......you can't get "greedy"! The car is in excellent condition and runs like a "champ"!!! And the price wasn't bad either!!! The seller was a hell of a good guy, and we are now "new" friends.

I am a member of several other car forums, so I figured I better sign up before I got drafted. I have made some good friendships on other boards, and obviously there are always many members with a wealth of knowledge which is invaluable.

So, here I am. Cheers!!!
