Default Lightbulb issue

Hello I have an Xtype '03. My lightbulb burned out the socket, went to a auto parts store and gave me a replacement H1 socket with only one cable instead of two. I have read other posts regarding this issue, but I would like to see if anyone here could post a picture so i can better understand what is being described that they should do.

I have learned that most new sockets are intended to ground through the fixture and not a separate wire like olde sockets were made to do. This is a problem with plastic sockets in our Olde Jaguars.

I had to solder a ground wire to one of the mounting prongs (on the grounding side of the socket) and connect it to a grounding point in the tunnel.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
