Hi Folks,

I realized a life-long dream when I bought my '96 XJS in '99, when it had 30,000 miles. "Jasmine" is a 4.0 litre automatic cabriolet and was my daily driver until '04 when we moved to Colorado and I decided I needed a winter car. Now she's semi-retired, and has about 94,000 miles. She is in good condition, with just some of the usual wear on the driver's seat and a few door dings and scratches. Since I like to at least try to do my own work I'm sure I'll have lots of technical questions.

Happy to be here,

-Mike Beda

Welcome Mike,

You've had 'Jasmine' for a lot of years. Expect she's never going to leave now!

Doesn't sound like you have anything major to fix. There's a few guys on the XJS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum section had their XJS's 's down to the last nut and bolt so should have any answers you may need.

Welcome to the forum Mike,

Good to have you with us.
A lot of people don't keep wives that long, but I'm not sure which is higher maintenance.

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you

Thanks for the welcome!

Yup, after 13+ years of ownership (and 20 previous years of lusting after Jaguars) Jasmine is with me for the duration. And without getting myself in too much trouble, let's just say that the Jag has definitely been pretty low maintenance.
