Default Looking at 2005 Jag

I am looking at ar 2005 XK8 convertible with 61,000 miles. Does this year model have any inherent mechanical flaws? Are service and parts expensive compared to regular cars? I would appreciate any input.

thanks,

Welcome to the forum scouty05,

A Jaguar will never be a cheap car to run. The advice on the forum can reduce costs substantially.

Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of the the section will give you much useful help on what to look for and common issues.

You can also visit the US Southwest Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...z-tx-nm-ok-37/ to find other members in your region.

Good luck with the search.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Welcome to this friendly Forum.
Re costs - a lot of US members reckon the parts cost no more than equivalent US models (and there is some interchangeability) but it is labour that stings.
There are a number of ways round this and you'll find them all here !!
