Started checking out these forums as I was shopping for a car last spring. I looked at an XKR to start, but couldn't convince my kids to stop growing so I bought a 2005 STR instead. Now I have some flexibility for those times when I need to ferry the little folks at high speed.

Even though I started by looking at XKRs, I've been nothing but impressed by the STR and since buying it I've enjoyed my drive every day.

Over the last year I've gotten more involved with the car and have also been impressed by the knowledge I've seen in the Jag community. I'm hoping to get in on some of the great discussions happening here from time to time and maybe contribute some of my own experiences as an owner.

The basics: I'm in the Boston area and the STR's my year-round daily driver. It's a blast to drive and so much faster than people expect, but I'm still starting to think about performance upgrades...
