Default Matt - Boca Raton, FL

Hello all,
I'm a new member but have been reading posts on this site for about a year. I have an 02 X-type 3.0L Sport with 126,000 miles on her. She's been great but has recently started showing her age.
I'm a Civil Engineer - haven't really worked on cars much, but need to start trying to save $. Thank you in advance for you help.

Hey Matt. I would think she's getting a bit tired at that mileage but dig in and see what you can do to bring back to her youth.

welcome aboard mate...you've just found one of the friendliest forums around.

Great members, top notch techs, lots of knowledgable members and fun in the off topic section too.....all good

I also had the X type you are about to get.....mine was a 2.5 though but also an 02 plate.
Great car to drive and sooo sure footed with the AWD of course ( excellent for the snow / ice and wintry conditions - even better with snow tyres ) I always got compliments on my Jag from so many different types of people. They have a much wider appeal than you might think!

There are plenty documented X types easily doing that mileage if looked after...There was one that did 250k+ in 3-4 years if I remember rightly, was the sold on and still going strong.
If she's looked after there's no reason she shouldn't be good for another 126k

Anything we can help with just holller
