An update must have been in order..I haven't visited in a while. My XJ8 is one to restore..I do drive it daily and have no issues. It had a previous owner who had little appreciation for what he was driving. I hope I saved it. This one is my third. I would like to meet here other owners and diy folks with experience. I am recently retired (tho rewired seems more appropriate) and now, supposedly, have time to work on what I choose..stay tuned..lol

Welcome back Melindasue,

Good to hear you've had no issues with the XJ8 since your original Intro:

I like the idea of 'rewired'!

lol..there was with the Vanden..no1 of three. It was the drum n collar assembly. No2 99xj8l was hit by a young lady who couldn't drive on snow..but no issues,it's now a very nice 'parts car' tho I've yet to use it..I guess that's just my sentimental side..and now no3 is the replacement via the ins. After much discussion and loving education on the Jaguar motorcar they will be much more cooperative with other jag enthusiasts..no more talk of putting a Chevy motor in..lol.

Welcome back to the forums.
I don't know, I've got two GM's with L98's in 'em.
Enjoy the drive.

Hello, Melinda Sue,
Congratulations on your latest Jaguar!
I'm sure it will appreciate your saving it from an uncaring owner. I've always wondered why some people neglect their cars, having such a financial investment in them.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
