Hello Everyone:

I am Bill and live on the Central Coast of California. Glad to be a member of the Forum - and find it interesting and quite helpful.

Bought my 1987 Vanden Plas, in late 1986. At 10K miles, the engine blew, so the car has been garaged ever since.

I am swapping a small block Chevy LT1/4L60-E transmission into the car.

Should be done in a couple of months.

I've lifted a few Jaguar engines out but never in that kind of weather.
You've certainly got the VdP back to basics. Good luck with the transplant.
