Mk2 owner, Wilmington Delaware
Good evening all. I purchased a 1963 Jaguar Mk2 3.8L, automatic about 1 month ago. I have put about 100 miles on the car since I have had it. The heater has been disconnected. Engine takes a long time to fire up. Looking to put a choke cut off switch under the dash so I can avoid the otter plug choke. Right now the otter plug does not have a wire connected to it. Speedometer will not hold steady, RPM meter does not work. After about 10 minutes the engine settles down, and it drives ok. Right now I am working on refinishing the wood pieces, starting with the dash top board. must be 100 coats of varnish on it. It would sure be great to find somebody in Eastern PA, Delaware, or Maryland with a Mk2 that I could learn from. Thanks for reading this.
