I got a beautiful Jaguar XKR-S in January but I have been looking into and researching Jags for a number of years, at least 2 - maybe 3. I narrowed down my Jaguar to the XKR-S and this was a long time ago and by magic one appears in December 2023, I already had a rare Subaru Legacy 3.0 SpecB with the six speed (for 8 years) and needed a really special car to replace that Subaru so I ended up getting the Jag after an 8 hour round trip - it was not too difficult to sign the paperwork.. (even with my Subaru not sold which took another 4 months) and it has not disappointed me, it’s a bit embarrassing but I have not used S mode in this yet - so I don’t even know if the dampers work correctly - it’s a rocket ship already in D - and let’s face it with everyone driving at 40 nowadays its plenty quick as it stands.
The car has caught many out and they are unaware of its limited edition status, Jaguar really should have put some limited edition xx/50 plaque on the trim or something, 50 were sold in the UK – I suspect less than 10 are actually registered – how many left have nothing showing.
I spent a sizable amount of money on servicing this since I got it, plus pulling out the wheel liners which were brutal but it’s going like a train and is my daily driver and have been to Ireland and back in May where everyone was looking at it – everywhere.
