Smile Morning all. First Jaguar, First post!

Hi all. Just bought me a 1997 XJ6 3.2 and love it. Yes it needs some TLC but that's the whole point!

I'm Jim,40 years old and come from Leicestershire in the UK. Currently working as a truck driver/trainer. Past Jobs include Test/development driver/rider at MIRA proving ground, Engineering,Manufacture and British Reserve Forces.

I have always wanted a Jaguar and this one came up cheap on a well known internet auction site. I bought it with the intention of keeping it usable and to restore it sympathetically rather than to get obsessed about it being perfect. Nothing is perfect.

It has a couple of problems, the main one being a fuel leak which I will post about in the relevant section. For now I'm just saying Hi

Welcome Jim,

Testing at MIRA - that's not a job, it's a blessing from the gods!

I see you've already found your way to X300 section. Hope the fuel leak is an easy fix.

Graham

Thanks Graham, The fuel leak was easier than I thought...

I'm letting my Uncles brother in law do it!

Welcome to the forum Jim,

Good to have you with us.
I see you have found a novel way of solving your Jag problems, can you drink beer while he does it?
My sentiments are the same as Grahams on the MIRA job.

You should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
