Wink Ms. Kitty and I are new here.

Hello All....

My name is Kimberly. Ms. Kitty and I live in Gulfport, MS at this point in time. We have been together a while. I purchased her in Missouri in September of 2009. She is a 2002 Jaguar X-Type 2.5. She is my pride and joy. I hope that we are together for many more years to come. Our relationship, like many has come with its ups and downs. Over the last year and a half I have had to replace the alternator, the water pump, the thermostat, the turn signal switch on the column, and the heating and air conditioning control in the cabin. All of this besides the normal maintenance. But c`est la vie, we all have problems from time to time.

Welcomew to the forum.

Sorry to hear Ms Kitty is not performing as well as you would like, but now you're on the forum, you can seek advice for any other problems that may crop up; lets hope no more of them ! It seems a big list, so how many miles on the car ? Neglect can also contribute to the problems - those dang previous owners !!

Kimberly, welcome to the forum. Let's hope you don't encounter anymore problems with your X-Type. When you get a chance post a picture of two of your car and enjoy your time on this site.

Hi Kimberly!! Welcome aboard. Thanks for letting us in on your personal relationship with Ms. Kitty. It looks like you well know that these kittens can take a lot of tender loving care, but they return an immense amount of joy to those who pamper them. You have come to the best spot on the net for guidance on her care and feeding. And, yes, we can be sort of a collective shoulder to cry on whenever she disappoints you.

Hope you enjoy your time with us.

Thank you for your sentiments. Ms. Kitty has just under 160,000 miles on her. However, she was previously owned by an impertinent college kid that did not like her or daddies decision for his free car. When I acquired Ms. Kitty, she was missing her signature hood ornament and several different trim pieces which I have yet to find. I have replaced the hood ornament, but the trim pieces that go over the rear windows are being a bit of a challenge to locate... without the door attached to them.

Thank you to everyone else who posted as well. i appreciate all the help I can get... Ms. Kitty is ill yet again, but more so this time. I am getting a misfire code on cylinder 1. I am hoping it is just a tune up that is needed. I try my best to take care of her. I hope that I can do her justice.

I would like to thank the administrator for upgrading my status as well.

Happy speeding all...

Default I think you can see....

Kimberly,

I think you see the people here are "rabid" over these beautiful cars. I have bought and sold vehicles for over 35 years and I have NEVER seen the emotional connection to a vehicle these folks have to their "cats".

Best of luck with your car. Try to not mind to much the maintanence "challenges". I have already learned to call it "The Jaguar ownership experience".
