My First Jaguar

My First Jaguar
Hello, everyone... I'm Ben from Dallas, TX. I've already been posting a bit over in the F-Type area, so I wanted to make sure and introduce myself before I managed to forget.
I just purchased by first Jaguar, a 2016 V6S F-Type Coupe with a manual transmission, back in late January. She's British Racing Green, my favorite car colour of all time, with a Camel / Jet interior. I've already put just under 2000 miles on her - she'll be my daily driver.
I've been driving an assortment of European cars for my entire driving life. I had been on a 15 year BMW bender until recently, having been through several M3s, MZ4s, 540s and a 650i. While I used to be quite a BMW aficionado, I've recently become quite disillusioned with the brand after repeated quality issues (timing chain, anyone?) and a lack of decent customer service from BMW corporate. So, I've happily turned my attention to Jaguar - a marque that I've long admired, but hadn't ever ventured into buying. The F-Type has been truly fantastic, thus far. I recently attended the XE "Audition" roadshow here in Dallas and spent some time driving the XE-R - Given the condition of the roads here in Dallas and my experiences with BMW suspension and our rampant potholes, I was shocked to feel how much better the XE deals with these horrible streets, while maintaining outstanding handling and chassis dynamics. So, don't be surprised if I end up adding an XE to the family, too. I also made the decision over the course of the last week, to start the process of locating a suitable right hand drive Series 1 4.2L E-Type Coupe to restore. Is it considered heresy to convert one of these into a Low Drag Model?
Anyway, I'm happy to have found this excellent forum! Looking forward to contributing however I can!
Cheers!
