Default My mandatory Intro, that i was told was a MUST!

Hello, folks! Got a few set of wheels and a few questions, that are naggin me, so i hope, eventually we could work out.

My main ride is 1999 XJ8, that i've had for the past three years and i love it. Aside from the obvious leaper theft problem (had two of them gone AWOL, third is sitting on my desk now) and tensioners and saggin roofliner and stability control fail and ground cable go bad and flickering cluster and oil on air filter and such, love that car. Fixed most of it.
It became even more obvious, after i brought a 1971 Coupe Deville from Detroit, that i got off of eBay on an impulse, while Jag was in the shop! . After this one - Jag rides like a spaceship from the future.))))
So, all in all, hopefully my 4 out of 11.7 liters of displacement would be in good hands between me and you, guys.

Now if someone can tell me how to get rid of those valve cover leaks, that would be awesome. Did it like three times, still seeps and drips. What gives?

Welcome to the forum,

The XJ guys will be happy to help you with your drips and seeps.

It sounds like you have a good handle on the rest.

Welcome to the forum Alex.

Yes the XJ8 section should be of help, I have seen this issue in the past.

(suppose you could always drain all the oil out, at least it would stop leaking. Then again it would probably just STOP)
