Hi.thank you for getting back to me.
Fuses all checked not them!
We do think it is a power problem somewhere now as we have bought new everything and still no joy!
But there also is a parrot wired up to it and it's got no power either and the nav in boot isn't spinning along with front screen blank!
We are at a loss!! :/
Thanks
Fin

The C1, 50, 51 is an indication of a comms fault between the Sat NAV box in the boot and the Display.
The display is effectively a dumb remote control just sends the button pressed to Sat NAV which then talks to the radio. As correctly said elsewhere the brains is the Sat NAV in the boot
If at start up the display doesn't get certain signals from the Sat NAV it won't turn on the backlight on the LCD and then will start flashing up error codes.
Usually in these cases there will be one of three faults, a wiring fault or a failure of the display or Sat Nav.
If the Sat Nav is ejecting and accepting the disc that casts suspicion on the wiring or the display. If the climate can still be controlled by the display then its unlikely that the display is faulty unless the backlight has failed.
Jags wiring looms aren't the best and take very little abuse before failing as I think.
My advice is loosen the trim around the Sat NAV get your hand in the back and push the wiring onto the connector block to see if its a loose connection.

Hi, got it sorted! There was a wire trapped and was causing a failure to the DVD rom in boot which in turn wasn't sending the power to the touch screen!
Such a small issue and had been done while the mechanic was fixing the gear stick!
So before anyone throws money like we did make sure and check all wires!
Thank you everyone that helped us! We now have full control over our heating and radio!
