My "New" Jag
I am the proud owner of a very nice 1998 XJ8, in absolutely wonderful condition. It has 132,450 miles & runs very nice...& quiet. I sold my Mazda Miata of 6 years to purchase this vehicle...wanted something quiet & comfortable. I think I succeeded.
I'll be posting on the correct forum about repairing the driver's seat...back right support bracket is broken...but that is all I find is wrong with this car. It has been very well maintained, & I'm looking forward to many miles of wonderful driving.
I've had several Jaguars, but many years ago. I owned a 1962 Mk 2, a terrific car, but just out of college, my insurance went up way too high for me to afford it. So, alas, I sold it...but still remains one of my favorite drivers. I also owned 2 mid-50's Mark IX's...I wanted to restore them, but had to move, so sold them. I really miss not having them.
But I'm back in the fold...finally!! Bob
