Default My wife's jaguar has forced me to join a forum :o)

I purchased a 2005 Jaguar XJ8 L for my wife in January. The XJ8 has been her dream car since she was 15 and had a learner's permit.

I have been the resident mechanic for the entire 10 years we have been married, so I now get to scour the forum looking for advice and hopefully sharing my experiences as I find problems with her car.

So far since January, I have fixed the washer fluid system (no fluid would pump out), the glove box damper, and recently the blower motor for her A/C and heat.

If I can help anyone, I would be glad to help.

I took pictures of the repair for the blower motor, and will post a detailed post with pictures later.

I also have a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country, 2001 Ford F-250, and 1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max.

Happy to be part of the club, and hope that others experiences can help me to work on the wife's baby.

Yes, you should have one too! One day I'll have two in my garage but I know the 2nd one won't be my wife's; she considers the sedans too low!

Welcome to the forum!

I second the "get a 2nd" comment -- same year, same model, that way it can be a parts car, too! J/K

I'll probably get a 2nd one for myself -- would love to have an older XJS, even if it needed to be a garage queen! Found one a few months ago but I guess I was too enthusiastic when I drooled and screamed -- I'll buy it!!!! The guy decided to keep it and get it fixed so HE can have all the fun, not ME!!!! Selfish is what I call that!
