Hi, I'm Dave from outside Pittsburgh, Pa. and i have a 1989 XJ6 with 52,000 miles on it that i bought in 1993 with 32,000 miles on it. I had it stored for 8 yrs and I retired in March of this year and decided it's time to pull my baby out and enjoy it. I need tires badly and am having trouble finding the tire for this car. It calls for a V rated tire but they don't exist anymore. I need to know if putting on a T rated tire would affect this cars handling drastically. Any suggestions on what tire closest to the Pirelli P5's i have on here now. It is a V rated tire now. Need help

That's very light use in nineteen years - definitely time to put some miles on.

I recall the tyres were becoming difficult even when I had my XJ40 a few years ago and several owners were fitting alternative wheels to get over the issue.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
