TPMS ??
Hey Guys,
Had my first Jag fault this evening, after a year of ownership.....
Twas on our way to dinner. "Out of the blue", low tire warning appears. Hmmm? So, started thinking back on our day. We had just returned from a 190 mile R/T roadie to attend a Concours 'D Elegance show. Nothing unusual occurred. Anyway, a short time later a "Tire Pressure Warning System" fault appeared where the clock is located. Ok, not feeling any change in the car's handling or any other sense of low tire, I pressed on until reaching the restaurant. We arrive, I take a look around, but, not see any signs of a "low" tire. So, we're returning home, then, "Out of the blue", all of the faults clear!
In the AM, I'm going to check the pressures when the tires are cold.
Just thought, I'd share my experience this evening......BTW, yes the car is on life support (CTEK) when not being driven.
Happy Trails.......

Perhaps, just looking for attention....
Welcome to my world, I have been having these TPMS issues for over a month, on and off. The link to many posts addressing this is: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-issue-147902/
Some of us have had success inflating tires to 40+psi and then slowly bleeding down.
Good luck, my warnings seem to come and go as they please.
Frustrating!

OK, .....
So I check the pressures (cold) this morning. Based on the sticker, should be 30 F & 33 R. Checking, I have approx. 31 Front (cold) & 32 rear (cold). Not much of a difference.
However, being curious, I pulled out two other gauges and received 3 different readings, in total WTF!
My old reliable (red pic) was the one I've always used as it's convenient, with it's built-in gauge, extended locking air attachment, and air entry handle. When I re-checked, using the center recently purchased digital unit, it read 27.5 F and 32.5 R. The far left, (much older) read 31 F and 32 R
So, who's body to believe?
I've read where there is a way to calibrate the TPMS sensors with the control module, but, requires a special tool? These TPMS units are new and added with the new tires installed last fall.
However, looks like I need an air gauge that is accurate, as well.
Happy Trails......

Did some searching, ran across an article the suggesting intermittent TPMS reading could be the result of the sensors picking up a low pressure signals from an adjacent vehicle. Bizarre or not?

Very, interesting it's kinda like my Escort radar detector going off around new Buicks. I am the one Tberg refers to on going to 40 psi and backing down slowly to 32ish. So far at 150 miles or so it has worked. Now I must avoid cars with low tires and all will be good. Too funny... but makes sense to me.
Could this not be the result of the batteries in the sensors themselves getting low?
What I'm getting is 'tire not monitored' error messages. Which I suppose is different from low pressure messages...

In my case, I added new TPMS sensors when I replaced the tires last fall.
As, I mentioned, the error(s) cleared themselves the same evening they appeared.
I have been having these issues for months. I have actually gotten to the point that I ignore them if the Jag's handling is unaffected. Eventually the warnings shut down and everything seems to be normal until next time.
Yeah, I hear ya! It's just Miss Kitty's way of mess'n with us...
