New 2011 XJl-First Time Jag Owner
Just bought 2011 XJL. Replaced 2005 CLS 55. Really like the interior. My question is, I have 20 inch wheels, has anyone had any issues with those wheels. My Dealer thought the wheel insurance would be a food buy. Thanks.
Those policies come in handy if you happen to get into tire/wheel issues, but depends on what you do. I usually kill the stock tires at first change and go to Mich. However, I am liking the Dunlops on my XJL Supercharged.
If you were to damage a wheel, and I mean seriously damage it, $125 gets it fixed. I had an AMG wheel on my GL550 crack in the middle of the barrell...had that plus a few side scratches fixed...$125. So, if you really wreck the wheels up, the $1000 plus policy may be good for you. The tires at your local Discount Tire come with basically the same replacement as your stock tires (but you do have to buy one each time, so over the life, may be a good deal if you need it).
