Hello everyone, I just bought my first jaguar its a 1998 xj8 I'm also new to forum's
I've been a mechanic for 18 years working on heavy trucks and forklifts. Jaguars are totally new to me. I live in new York and am having trouble with my ride already its only my second day...thanks

Congratulations on the XJ8.
Take great care never to overheat the V8. Serious damage can occur rapidly. Unfortunately both the temperature gauge and the coolant level sensor are unreliable.
Follow this link XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start looking for info on regular issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
