Smile New F type Convertible owner

Hello,

First time Jaguar owner. I thought I'd join the forum to learn some information on the car. I only have a Base version, but it was somewhat of design as I was chasing after the manual transmission. I had to go coast to coast to find this car. 2017 with only 7,000 miles on it. I'm looking forward to modifying the car and adding some of the Type S features and other options that didn't come with my car.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new F-type Jaguar!
In the current automobile market I'm not surprised you had to look so far to find what you want.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome! The forums will be an invaluable resource to you, I'm sure. Also probably a way to spend too much money getting your car just so

I was fast to act on the ad for the car and put a deposit down. Otherwise it was a decent price in my opinion. Although the market in general is inflated.

Was hoping for a Type S in manual. Looking specifically for Red. The two that came up on my radar had been in accidents. One had possible frame damage. The other red manual type S I found was hit on 3 sides. Ugh. Might have been OK, but I just didn't like the idea.

Definitely best to avoid any aluminium bodied Jaguar that's been in anything more than a minor bump. The low miles base version you have was the better choice and, in a rising market, could easily be traded for a manual S if another turns up.
