New F-Type Owner :)
Hi all,
After spending 6 months or so looking for testimonials, watch-outs, advices (and other rants) from this forum, I decided to take the plunge and got myself a MY 2017 F-Type V6S Convertible
What sane person would buy a convertible in December, in Switzerland!
35k KM, all services done by Jaguar, great condition... except a dead battery (but I was already prepared, I knew a lot more than the dealership... ahem)... and 3 months later the squeaky exhaust issue just poped up, I recon...
Other than that, even if it's not the V8, it does bring all the child in me and I must remain careful in any tunnels that I may cross, not to be tempted
Was tempted by a 400 convertible as well but its history was less convincing... too bad, but better safe than sorry!
Other than that, had to sold a GR Yaris to make room for the Jag' - it was an amazing pocket rocket but had to move out from my "mountains" to the city... it did not deserve that! Had a 987.2 Cayman S in the past... and currently also drive a Skoda Enyaq for shopping because yeah... I still need to carry more than a pack of green beans (silence can be nice).
Anyway, after those, I needed something properly noisy again (whilst we still can) and a convertible to enjoy the scenery and the sound..
That's it! Thanks to current and past contributors to this forum, this is truly a fantastic source of knowledge
Already took it on a snow track day earlier this month - very predictable, even with all electronics aids off (well, not sure if was truly off but still):
Trulyterrifying amazing roads indeed! That was such a blast. Would not be doing the same with the F-Type, that's for sure

Welcome to the forums Ken,
You are obviously already familiar with our F-Type forum so no need for a link to it from me. You are in the right part of the World to enjoy the F-Type. Last time I was level with the cloud like that was emerging from Mont Blanc tunnel on the road down to Aosta driving something considerably larger!
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
