Default New form Indiana, 2001 XKR

Hello all, I have been lurking for several weeks. I have never owned a European car or a convertible for that matter. So I thought I would do my homework on this car before I get it. I will be picking the car up tomorrow. I am receiving the car a payment for some construction work I am doing for a good customer of mine. The original owner died about two years ago and his wife is letting go of the car. It has 36 k on it and has been garaged all its life. It needs a good cleaning as it has not been out much in the last two years. I will have the car all week before I decide to accept the car or take cash. I may be asking some of those dumb questions this week so bear with me guys. I thank all of the contributors here for helping me make an informed decision. Regards, Chris

Welcome to the forum Chris head out to the XKR section and read away.

You could also be doing the lady a very good turn, and not just financially, she must be sad to be parting with her deceased husbands car. Never easy.

Well I picked it up today and have been having a great night doing some spirited driving with a big grin on my face. Thanks for all the welcomes to the sight. So far I am pretty happy with the XKR. No real problems other than me trying to figure everything out. What is the first switch on the gear selector console for? I know well what the second one is "S" for Sensational.
I figured it out, Cruise Control!!!

Hello and welcome to jaguarforums.com.

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model when you get the car. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
