weird problem here with my 2001 XKR: sometimes when I tip the left turn signal the low beam and the interior lights (i.e.: all lights) go out for a fraction of a second. Interestingly this only seems to happen when the light switch is in 'auto'-mode.
This doesn't happen all the time, so I suspect some kind of (occasional) short circuit.
Okay...workaround would be either not to use the 'auto-light' or never turn left again when it's dark. ;-)
OTOH I would be interested if the electronic gurus here might have an idea about this (admittedly) very special problem.

I would start by looking for an earth fault, either near the switch, near the relay or near the bulb. You can test by making a wire with crocodile clips and shorting the earth to the battery, if the fault goes then you know which earth is not contacting the body.
The turn signal stalk has several soldered wires, which sometimes break off. They can cause both opens and shorts. It is worth inspecting, and they can be re-soldered if necessary.
