I live in Gainesville FL and work in Jacksonville. I currently own a 2002 E55 AMG which my girlfirend wadded up into the back of a truck on Monday. I am awaiting my insurance adjusters estimate 10/29 to see if its totaled.

I am assuming it will be considering the damage and Florida's 80% rule so I am exploring the 2004-5 XJR. I have owned three turbo powered vehicles while my friends have all been suprcharger junkies so I am excited to try it out.

Should it not be totaled then I will proceed with my plan to LS1 swap a 00-01 XJ8.

I typically perform all maintenance and performance modifications myself. Prior to the Benz, I built a high 12 second 2004 SRT4 which I traded on the Benz and before that a 735HP twin turbo 2005 GTO that was traction challenged and only managed 11.02 at 135, spinning through third with 26x10 MT slicks.

Always loved the Jaguar styling and am excited to learn about a new car & manufacturer so I'll be taxing the search function for awhile...

Thank you for the links!

Yes, I guess I should have mentioned, no one was injured. There wasn't even damage to the vehicle she hit because it was a lifted truck, she went under the bumper and hit its tire. No airbag deployment.
