New to the forum, hello
Good afternoon from Oregon, we survived the eclipse on Monday so I decided to go ahead and register. We are in the "path of totality" and the media created a frenzy. The biggest issue we had was people hoarding in preparation.
Anyway, My wife and I have owned two XJ6's in the past and an S type 4.0 all of which we enjoyed. We replaced our S type in 2012 with a Touareg TDI which is now owned by VWOA. After an extensive search we bought a CPO 2016 XF Prestige AWD from the dealer in SanFrancisco and had it transported. The had just over 4K miles on it, had all the options we wanted and was substantially less $ than new. We have had the car for just over a month now and I love it, the wife is adjusting from an SUV. I just ordered wheels and tires for it yesterday mostly because the continentals are noisy, also wanted to change the look.
I drive a crewcab GMC pickup everyday, we also have a lifted/modified jeep wrangler TJ which can be a nice change, I have several motorcycles including a Harley type custom, a Ducati, a Honda RC51 sportbike and a couple other vintage bikes. Also have a 1958 vw bug, a 1930 model A in the shop and we spend most summer weekends at nearby Detroit lake where we have a boat large enough to weekend aboard moored.
BTW, my name is Bob. There is always somebody that thinks they're funny saying "whataboutbob" when I introduce myself sooo.
Hope that wasn't too long winded, thanks
