Just a quick intro...not exactly new to Jags having had watched my dad through the years with a few S-Types (including a multiple Best in Class winner) and the XK8 coupe I am now driving...

After he passed last fall, I eventually took over the '03 XK8 and then added an '03 X-Type 2.5 manual over the weekend (actually picked it up last night, but the deal was done on Saturday). The X-Type was too good of a deal to pass up- had seen it when it was on the market last summer but it sold before I could get down to drive it. The only way I was going to buy one was with a manual tranny, and as it turned out, it landed back on the market a few weeks ago. Has a couple of minor issues that I was able to factor into my offer and the deal was done.

XK8 is still under 90K miles and the X-Type is a tick under 100K miles. The X-type was one that I got to put some of my daily driver miles onto since I am on the road an average of 80 miles a day just to/from the office. I am north of Houston and work even further north...so most of it is highway miles.

These two compliment the other two vehicles in the garage...I also get to have fun with an early Miata that I have no idea how many miles it actually has- odometer on it quit more than a decade ago at 143K miles. Guessing it is over a quarter million miles now... Did I mention I spend a lot of time on the road
