Hi everyone, Just bought my first Jaguar, it is a 1998 XJR. It has 130,000 miles, I bought it from a guy who had it sitting in his garage for a year without running. The engine died on him so he didn't care too much about fixing it. after begging him to sell it I finally got it. It obviously has some issues but I am sure that with your help I will be able to fix them.

You will find many useful resources in the model specific section. In your situation the FAQ and stickied threads at the top of the section will be of special interest to you.

You should probably take a look at downloading and installing both JTIS, the electronic service manual, EPC, the electronic parts catalog and the electrical diagrams for your model. All will serve you well. The links for those downloads can be found in the above mentioned FAQ.
