Default New guy! 1979 XJ6

Hello everyone! I'm Joe! I'm 17 and just bought my dream car! It's a 1979 Jag XJ6. However the "6" in the XJ6 doesn't mean much now. It's been swapped with a 350 Chevy and 400 Turbo R trans. I need to get a carb, belt and battery for it and she'll be on the road again!

Welcome to the Forum Joe.
That's a lot of machine at 17. Congratulations.

Hard call for me to discern between a Jag Forum and Chevrolet Forum as you are about to drive both. The heart of jaguars is the engine (probably why we need this forum)

Looks really smart,best of luck.

Hello, Joe,
Beeeautiful car!!
The '6' in Xj6 has Nothing to do with the engine. Make the most of the Hybrid Vigor you have with your British styling and American power plant with its dependability and parts availability.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
