Hello!! I just recently purchased a 1998 XJ8 and boy im I having issues already. Its only been two weeks and needs repairs. I did get it for a great bargain. The car runs well. From what I've been reading the issues im having are common for the age.
So far I need the tensioners replaced, vacuum leak under the manifold, leaking out of the upper oil pan, rear rotors and brake pads.
I've seen posts that recommend getting parts from partsgeek. Do you all recommend any another website for parts.

Welcome to the forum my1998jag,
If there's any doubt about the tensioners, don't delay. Serious damage will result if they fail.
Follow this link XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You may also like to visit the US Mid Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/m...a-dc-de-wv-65/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forum.
