Hi all....My name's Chase. I'm US Navy, stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI. Been somewhat of a gearhead since as far back as I can remember. Put a wrench in my hand and I'm a happy guy.

I have looked at Jags for a long time, but never thought I'd have the money to get one, til now. I came across a steal of a deal from a used dealer in N. Carolina....$10,000 under Blue Book!!!, I couldn't pass it up. 2006 XJR in near mint condition, just under 50k on the meter. Only 2 minor problems since I got it....airbag light is on (code 22) traced it to either a sensor or the wiring harness (most likely) under the driver's seat. And shortly after I got it here, the check engine light came on. Code shows a lean condition in both banks, going to change all the filters and then have it re-tuned. Car was driven in N.E. part of the US, totally different climate, that or it just doesn't like the gas here .

Still, I love this car, pretty much as is. Only changes I'm planning is tinting the windows (done), performance upgrades (MinaGallery), and a nice set of custom rims (ordered), leaving everything else alone. Just thought I'd say howdy and nice to be here.

Welcome chase! Beautiful XJR, and I really like the stock rims that are on her now, IMO. To each their own however. The new mina exhaust will be a nice addition. Stick around gearhead, we like having mechanically savvy members on the boards. It helps balance out the yahoos like myself who are pretty much a brakes and air filter types.

Hey, get a pic of that car on base, with maybe a carrier or destroyer in the background...if you've got the clearance.

As far as the pic....maybe. just gotta be in the right place at the right time, and talk to the right Officer.

very nice example! and welcome! After just driving a Slate XJR for the better part of a week i was reminded just why i like the XJs so much.

When you get your new custom wheels, i might be interested in the stock set, let me know.

Well, in a way I guess it is. Has its DoD decals just above the windshield VIN.
