New to Jaguar: My mint '77 XJ6
Hey guys im new to the jaguar scene. An old friend of my dads had this car in her garage that belonged to her dad who passed away recently. He bought it new in '77 and the paint is near perfect and has almost flawless interior. I picked it up for a good price and it starts right up. It just needs a new alternator. Everything works on it too. Is it anything special? I thought I bought it for a deal. How much do these usually run for?
Thanks!
Theres a quick sell phone picture. I can add more at anyones request.

Welcome to the forum VwGuy,
A mint 1977 XJ6 Series II - that is some find.
It's a Jaguar so that makes it a bit special for a start. Condition, one owner from new and (presumably) full maintenance history makes it desirable as there's not going to be many in that kind of original condition. However, not rare as they were produced in large numbers.

Nice vehicle! I hope you enjoy it, whatever your plans may be. Love the white walls. I remember helping my dad wash his old Ford LTD (or Fairlane maybe?) and loving the crisp, clean feel of freshly scrubbed white walls.
