I just purchased one of my favorite cars of all time, a triple black XK8 convertible. It's older, 1997, but despite the age it is in pristine condition inside and out from the paint to the natural wood.

I am hands down a Porsche guy, I always have one or two air-cooled 933s (manual transmission of course) in the garage but as for long distance cruising and an elegant automatic to drive everyday the XK8 is perfect for me. It is a comfortable, classy, and logical everyday driver. I fell in love with the gorgeous wood and exterior lines of this car.

I live at the beach in Florida so I can have the top down 365 days a year, with the exception of rain of course. Most people around my age, I'm 23, prefer the little honda or Subaru 'rice burners', loud and slow if you ask me. The XK8 is not a race car by far but with a 4.0L 8 cylinder and almost 300 hp, its not exactly slow either and most Honda drivers start to sweat when they pull up beside me at a traffic light. Haha
