Default New to Jaguars

Just bought a BRG (i think) 2005 XJ8L with 68,000 miles. I drove my father in law's XJ6 for several days and fell in love with the feel of the car.

The '05 feels brand new except for a couple of issues. It has the transmission lurch and I'm getting the Air Suspension Fault message usually after the second time it is started each day.

I hope to contribute to the forum as I become more knowlegeable about Jaguars.

Nothing too unusual there with issues. Tranny lurch is normally a TCM software upgrade, and suspension fault is probably the air compressor telling you it is getting a wee bit tired.

BTW I post in the X350 section. Currently I have a rough change 1->2 when "wellying it" away from a standstill. Possibly another TCM upgrade, (sigh !!)
