Default New from Leesburg VA

Hi all...I recently purchased an '04 X-Type 3.0 with 63k miles. This is my 15th car, but first Jaguar and WOW am I impressed! I bought it because someone decided to put my Millenia's trunk into the back seat...I miss that car, neat engine (read up on it...the Miller Cycle Engine).

Anyway...I just hope the car survives my kids (5 of them), and I also hope the transmission doesn't have any nasty surprises for me.

Yes, I'm already looking at the Mina Gallery mesh grill insert. Yes, I'm also dying for a stereo upgrade, but really like the stock look. Yes, I'm dying for the sat/nav unit, bluetooth module, and ACM. I wish I knew all this before I got it...

Looks like a GREAT bunch of people on this site, and I really hope there's something I can contribute while I'm here. I look forward to working with y'all!

Rich

Welcome!

The X-Type is one of my favorites! I had one in British Racing Green. Had to sell it to make room for other Jaguars, but regret selling it every day.

Welcome to the Forum. With 5 kids you should have plenty of willing apprentice polishers.

That's always a problem, we buy something, we look at it, we use it, and then we think, 'I wonder how I can improve it';-)

Thanks for the warm welcome! I do have to say that Mr. Myogi is an inspiration... (karate kid reference, wax on and wax off).

On the way home from the used car lot, my kids had to stop at a creek and poke around (long story), but one of them fell into the muddy creek and I had to cart him home muddy...Day ONE. Sad day, but that's what ya gotta deal with when you choose to have 5 kids!

Talk to y'all soon!
