I just joined the list, my first Jag is an '89 XJS (V12). I'll be doing all of maintenance work, right now the power steering pump has sprung a leak so I'll be under the car shortly (where do you place jack stands under this beast).

I always place Jack Stands as close to the jacking points as I can. (reinforced area). But I have been known to use a forklift truck
