Well, I just wanted to say HELLO to everyone and make my intro post! My Uncle has given me his 2004 XJR that has been stored in his garage for the better part of two years without being driven... the car has just over 100K miles of Texas Highway cruising between Houston to Austin & back... seemed to be the perfect car to enjoy the higher 80-85mph Texas Speed Limits!!
It needed a new AGM battery, has an oil leak and an air leak from the right rear strut. This should be fun!!! I plan to mod the car, but not yet sold on switching out the air suspension for the ARNOTT Coil-overs that were nicely sitting in the truck, new-in-the-boxes and just begging to be installed. My company builds custom heat exchangers for the 6th-Gen ZL1-1LE track cars, so I will definitely be looking for ways to tweak the supercharger speed and improve the cooling.
So send any suggestions or a better road map to help me get a better understanding of this car... I have never owned a car that I could leave unmodified... but I really want to upgrade the comforts for driving this car with modern technologies.
