Hello all,
I've recently signed up to this forum since fullfilling a long time deal with myself to buy a classic Jaguar. A week ago I rescued a 73 XJS from under a tree. The poor car had been resting there for almost three years. Another year and the she would have been toast. As it is now, I've got my work cut out for me.
Luckily, the car was parked at a restoration shop a little over an hour from my home. I was able to get the car rolled into the shop and the team there got her running that day. Now with fresh plugs, new gas, carb adjustments, filled points, oil change and a solid week of cleaning I am finally realizing what I have. Really, it's in pretty good shape.
I'm looking forward to doing my research here and bringing the car back to life. I'm happy sites like this exist, I wasn't even alive when this car rolled off the line and have some learning to do
Cheers,
Jake
