Hello from Dallas Texas.
I recently purchased a 2001 XJ8 VDP with 43K miles in excellent condition. I have always admired the beauty of the XJ8 (X308) so I decided to buy one. I was lucky enough to find one here in Dallas. So far, I have fixed a rattle in the driver side exhaust, removed the rear view mirror and am sending it to MI for repair. This weekend I am starting the timing chain tensioner/chain r/r project. There is no problem with the tensioners, but out of caution I am going to replace them. There are no other issues with the car. I am looking forward to driving and maintaining it.
