New Member & 1st time Jag owner
Good morning everyone, I am really excited to be part of the elite class of Jaguar owners as I've always wanted one! I found my Jaguar XJ6 1996 4.0 online & got a really good deal on it. I have all the service records & it's had less than 10k a year put on this car! It has 126k on it now. I was hoping as I start down the road of doing the few repairs it needs I could get help from you folks as I am nit to familiar with the mechanics of a Jaguar! My XJ6 has a few lights on, on the dash. A check engine which is due to a miss fire on a couple cinlinders and is an easy fix(but expensive - anyone know where I can get coil packs cheap I'd be forever greatful).
The other lights are the Track fail, track off, and the ABS lights. The car stops fine and I haven't had any traction problems so far; however, it's made a couple times a clunk kind of sound coming from the back end of the car - I am not sure if this is the ABS attempting to lock up or what, but any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance and I'm really excited to be part of this forum & start posting and sharing pictures with all of you.
Jeff

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.
Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.
