New Jaguar owner, or soon to be. 2005 XJ8 Vanden Plas. Silver over ivory. 81,728 miles. Having headliner replaced before I pick it up on 10/16/2024. I’ve only heard horror stories about Jaguar in the past and fell upon conflicting information regarding the X350. The service history is impressive and complete on this one owner car. Passenger mirror does not power fold and I’m not sure if that’s normal or not. One of the headlight washer nozzle tips has been sheered off somehow and one touch up and down on rear passenger side does not go up with one touch. Paint is beautiful!
I'm not a mechanic and I hope this car is as reliable as I’ve heard. I always maintain my vehicle. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks! Oh, I live in Salisbury, NC.

Hello, Robbin,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
81,000+ miles is just now well broken in and loosened up for a modern engine, but even at that, one must expect some little chores and tasks be required on a car pushing the ripe old age of 20.

Members of our XJ8 section will be happy to give you any help and advice they can.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
