I am owner of an XJ8 since October 2010, was watching this great forum in the last months,now decided to register.
I have an 3,2 2002 XJ8, a little skinny for you guys, but common in the UK, where I bought it. In the last months I did a lot of maintenance and upgrades by myself , hope that my problems will have answers from your forum also.
