Hello all - I am new to the forum and new to the Jaguar World. Just purchased a lovely previously owned 2003 XK8 drop-top. My new baby lived in Florida and northern Georgia for the last eight years and is now looking lovely in my Park Hills, Kentucky driveway. She has 88,000 miles and is very, very clean. Color? Zircon blue with blue convertible top, offwhite interior. I have been hunting for this car for many years and am happy to bring it home at last. I am looking forward to learning more about the car and other folks with similar cars, hoping to keep it looking good and purring along. I purchased the car from Metrolina Car Club in Mathews, NC, just outside of Charlotte - on April 11. Drove it home in two days - nice drive, despite some bad weather and the fact I was still recovering from a cold. I had a complete inspection performed by Scott Jaguar in Charlotte before deciding to purchase - Carfax was also very clean. The car was dealer-maintained at all times.
Looking forward to all the nasty spring weather to pass by so I can actually do more driving with the top down!

flydutch, welcome to the forum. Great choice in your 03 XK8 drop-top. Great color combo and the best looking interior around. Have a great time enjoying your car when the weather breaks. Have fun here.

Welcome to the forum. I am just down the road in Louisville. This is suppose to be a nice weekend. I planning on getting some fishing and driving in. The only thing that would make the weekend better is if I won the powerball this weekend. Good luch on your new car. I love mine.

I am a indeed a fan of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, mostly since I feel it is an obligation as an 'old-country' Dutchman, but also because it is one the most prestigious airlines in the world (too bad Air France got into bed with them, though-my opinion). I might have flown for them but I love living in the USA too much and love the type of fllying I do, short to medium range.
Looking forward to flying low in the Jag! Thanks for your message.

Default tire mismatch...

When purchasing my '03 XK8 I noticed I have two different brands of tire on the back wheels, one a Pirelli P-zero, the other an unknown brand (to me). Both tires are about 60% worn and are the same size. Can this cause any problems? Just some guidance requested.
Thanks,
Bart
