I just bought my 1998 red Jaguar XJ8 and I'm lovin' it! Its a great car and I have some simple problems but hey that's why I'm here. I live in a college town in Tennessee and study Psychology. Hope to talk to you all in the future!

If you haven’t already you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for. To do this go to, User CP, Edit Signature, Add Vehicle Details and such and Save Your Signature.

Welcome to the forum ! Make sure you check out the forum for the "Must be done" jobs on the X308 cars like yours. These cars are pretty good, but there is one job at least you have to make sure either has been done, or do it yourself, which is the upper cam-chain tensioners. These gave a whole lot of trouble on early cars. Other thing is the Nikasil bore linings, but if your car has got to 2011 without trouble, they will be almost guaranteed to be OK.

Thanks for all the welcome messages guys! I'll try and have some more info up asap about my xj8. I have some of the simple problems like a broken cupholder, sagging headliner etc. but I'm hoping to spend a few good years with this car and I love being the college kid driving a Jag everywhere! haha
