Bought a 2003 jaguar S-type 4.2L V8 about 8 months ago. I have never been more happy with a car. I'm a long time car collector and have always wanted a jag, so when i got the chance to buy this one i was thrilled. I have owned muscle cars and luxury cars but this thing is a beast, so much so that it almost scares me. I hit 135 mph a few months ago on the highway and didn't even realize it until i looked at the speedo. Beautifully smooth ride. Can't wait until some jerk wants to race me from a light, that'll be a good show! Gotta get it back in full working condition again first though. Aloha new guy! Welcome to the forums, i bet the s-type guys will steer you in the right direction. Also, that 4.2L engine is in the 2003-2006 XK8/XKRs also. and same transmission, so don't be afraid to expand your search to that subforum also when looking for 'common' drivetrain symptoms and solutions.
