Hello from Milton Keynes. I did the the silly 'move the car a yard and switch off' thing and flooded the engine so badly the plugs had to come out. Do other cars do this or is it just a Jag thing?

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
I don't really know, someone will. It sounds like you got it sorted?

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Welcome to the forum.

Other cars also have starting foibles, if you don't follow the correct method. Could never explain this to my EX.

Good to see you.

Default Thanks for the welcome

Nice to welcomed so kindly to the forums. It is appreciated.

Latest news on my XJ8 is not too good. The MOT fail point was bottom ball joint covers split but I'll post more about this in the correct forum.

Welcome,

It's not unique to Jaguar but not many owners need a second lesson!

I see from your later post on X308 section that you've got MoT problems. Hope the replacement covers work out.

Graham
